Absolutely delicious food. Such an interesting combination of flavours. Owners are also incredibly welcoming and attentive. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Excellent warm service, delicious food! Especially recommend the Green Tea Leaf Salad (Laphet Thoke), a delectable mix of fresh, spicey, crunchy goodness!

This is one of my favourite restaurants in the city. Super authentic mom-and-pop spot with amazing flavours and quality of food every single time. I love bringing people here and showing them a unique palette experience that is unlike any other I've ever tried. There are similarities to Thai and Chinese cuisine but it is distinctly its own. My absolute favourite is the Shan Style noodles that I always order, although I've tried other things on the menu as well. Everything is saturated in flavours and the meat is always tender and juicy. I also love the chickpea bites and tea leaf salad, both great for sharing. The spring rolls are also giant compared to the kind from Viet or Thai restaurants (can share too but I don't because I want it all to myself haha) Highly highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

Owner is very sweet and friendly. The Shan Styled noodles were excellent, and big enough that I was able to have a small portion of leftovers the day after. Items are reasonably priced.

How could you not give 5 stars to this restaurant? The flavours are unique compared to anything else you can get in the area. Their owner is thoughtful and this thoughtfulness and attention to detail extends onto their menu and service. It's not a high end fine dining experience, but it has that warm and charming feel of a special homemade meal.

This restaurant is so unique that I must recommend it to anyone interested in Burmese food, or if you're simply interested in unique, flavourful cuisine. The couple that runs the place is so friendly as well, and the menu is reasonably priced. Not sure if the wine pairings fit, but please do yourself a favour and have a meal at Rangoon.

Khao Soy is a surprisingly popular dish in Karachi, somewhere I lived for a few years, and was craving it! I’m so happy that the dish tasted the same, actually even better, at Rangoon. Can’t wait to come back again.

We went here last night and had a great time! I highly recommend the Green Tea Leaf Salad, the Beef & Fresh Basil Stir Fry, and the Chicken. I would definitely return to try other things on the menu, they have spicy and not-spicy options. The owner was very nice, visited our table, and we talked a lot about Burma/Myanmar. You cannot go wrong here!

Rangoon is one of Ottawa's underappreciated gems. Previously located on Gloucester, now in Chinatown. The food is not only reasonably priced, it's different from everything else on offer in the city. My personal favourites are the green tea leaf salad and the mohinga, but I also love the spring rolls (not like any you've had elsewhere), Shan style noodles, coconut noodle soup, and all the curries. And you mustn't skip the tea, which they sell at the cash you love it as much as I do.Service is always warm and friendly, especially if you come often enough to get to know the family. It'd been way too long since we'd been. It won't be so long again!
