Local subreddit raves about this place so that should be all you need to know. Owner’s vax certificate is prominently displayed if that’s a thing that’s important to you. Decent portion sizes but don’t mistake quantity for quality. Tasty enough but not so much as to warrant a return trip. The owner is extra nice tho.

I’ve waited two years since my last trip to Saskatoon to eat here, as it was closed during my last trip, and it was well worth the wait. As the only Burmese restaurant between Ontario and BC, it is hard to find Burmese cuisine at home in Edmonton. The owner is a very nice man and we chatted about Burmese cuisine over our meal. We ordered the tea leaf salad, Shan noodles and Mohinga rice noodles. All three dishes were excellent and the portions are HUGE, so much so that we ended up taking most of our Shan noodles home. Whenever I visit YXE again, I will eat at Golden Pagoda again.

Father was critical about the level of cleanliness but the food was great and the guy was smiling and friendly, crazy good prices and will be coming back myself.

Great food and atmosphere. The owners are so nice! This past time I tried the mushroom tempura and laksa soup, both of which were excellent.

I’ve tried this place with my friend for the first time and frankly it won’t be the last! As much as I know, this is the only Burmese restaurant in Saskatoon. The place has a limited seating area so it’ll be best if you reserve a table. We happened to come in on a less busy time of the day. I was delighted with the uniqueness and the taste of their food. I’ve ordered the Coconut Noodle Bowl and shared the Thousand Layer Bread and salad with my friend. Great flavour and I’ll definitely be back!

We hadn't eaten here for 6 years & the food is still as delicious as ever. 3 of us shared an Asian Garden Salad & a large bowl of Spicy Laksa soup. Thursday Lunch & the place was full. Owner is terrific as well. We shall return should the opportunity present itself. And when we're back in Saskatoon.

Went in a large family gathering. It is an intimate restaurant but we fit 26 with room for others. Food was excellent, we had about 12 different dishes and they were all very good. Staff was very accommodating and food was brought out in a timely fashion and still hot, not an easy feat for a large group. I'm not sure about pricing because it was paid for by someone else in our group. I would like to point out that the owners knew we were coming in advance so they were able to plan the evening. Please don't take a group of 26 on the spur of the moment and expect it to go as flawlessly as our visit did. I am sure they would accommodate you but it may take more time.

Food was amazing and quantity was huge. The owner was friendly and helpful. Must visit for a unique flavorful cuisine.
